Teen ACTS brings together high school students for a weekend of fun and faith modeled after adult ACTS retreats. The TACTS lineup provides activities -- praise, sacraments, Scripture, and more -- allowing students in grades 9-12 to encounter God more authentically. While enriching their faith, the participants also build friendships and connections within the parish. The Holy Spirit channels the unique energy and creativity of teenagers for a three-day spiritual adventure. Adult mentors serve with the teen team volunteers to present events both reverent and exuberant.
Twelve retreatants attended St. Bernard’s Teen ACTS #7 at Camp Christian in February 2020. Thank you to the team members – a crew of teens and adults -- who served as generous and joyful evangelists. May God continue to bless these teens as they take fresh spiritual energy back to our parish and to their homes, schools and friends. We pray they may model the discipline and missionary zeal shown by the retreat patron, St. Ignatius of Loyola. "Whoever breaks one of the least of these commandments and teaches others to do so will be called least in the kingdom of heaven. But whoever obeys and teaches these commandments will be called greatest in the kingdom of heaven.” – Matthew 5:19
